Weapon Skills are modifiers found on Rare and higher weapons. These skills give stat bonuses to certain types of characters, or provide other bonuses based on the skill.

Virtually weapon skills take ii parts: the base skill, and the skill level. The base skill has a fixed effect, such as "% boost to allies' ATK," and the skill level amplifies the outcome by increasing that base percent. For weapons with maximum levels of 100 or lower, the maximum skill level is 10. For weapons with a quaternary uncap, the maximum skill level is fifteen later the uncap is performed, increasing to 20 for weapons with a fifth uncap. For most weapons, each skill level from 1-10 increases the base issue by 1%, while each skill level from 11-twenty increases the base consequence by less than 1%.

There are some skills that require the weapon to be a certain level. This naturally too requires the weapon to be uncapped enough to reach that level. Refer to individual weapon pages to decide if that weapon has such a skill. The skill level tin exist raised before that point. Besides, sure skills will be upgraded/replaced by a stronger skill when the weapon reaches a certain level. The skill level will carry over in this instance.

Each party uses ane main weapon and up to 9 sub weapons. This is colloquially referred to as the "weapon grid." The main weapon dictates the element and charge attack of your primary character, but weapon skills on all weapons in your grid are e'er active (apart from a few exceptions specifically stating and so) and volition strengthen all applicable characters in your political party.

Weapon Skill Types

There are 3 standard weapon skill types:

The three skill types change their ain multipliers and tin can exist boosted by certain summons:

  • Normal skills are additional by Premium Draw summons, specifically Agni (fire), Varuna (water), Titan (earth), Zephyrus (wind), Zeus (light), and Hades (dark). These summons increase skill power by +fourscore%, increasing to +120% at iii★, +140% at 4★, and +150% at 5★.
    • Bahamut Weapons and Ultima Weapons (amongst some others) have weapon skills that are not affected by whatsoever summon despite them being considered Normal skills otherwise.
  • Omega skills are boosted by the chemical element's corresponding Omega summon. Starts at +l%, increases to +100% at 3★, increases to +120% at iv★, and increases to +140% at 5★.
  • Mysterious skills, a blazon of EX skill from IDOLM@STER collab weapons, are boosted past the Ranko Kanzaki summon. Starts at 30%, increases to l% at three★, and increases to 66% at 4★.

  • Skill Proper name: Might, Essence, Sweep, Gauntlet
  • Increases ATK for characters of the skill's element (and race or weapon-specialty for certain skills).
  • Different skill types (Normal, Omega, EX) are additive within their type, but multiplicative between types.

Critical Hitting Rate

  • Skill Name: Verity
  • Run a risk to deal an additional 50% harm to weak chemical element foes and non-elemental foes.
  • Total disquisitional risk percentage is condiment beyond all weapon skills.
  • Summon auras only boost disquisitional take a chance. The disquisitional harm modifier remains at 50% regardless of the summon aura.
  • Omega Verity 2 corresponds to Large while Normal Verity Ii corresponds to Big Two.
  • Critical chances from dissimilar sources (due east.yard. weapon skill, status buffs, and character support skill) activate independently.

AX Skills

Some weapons possess special skills chosen AX skills. Weapons that take AX skills are indicated by a special icon.

AX skill furnishings and effect rates are fixed from the start and cannot be changed by upgrading the weapons or inheriting weapon levels. The number of AX skills, their effects, and effect rates are decided at random.

AX Skill Inheritance

  • Weapons with AX skills can inherit stats from other weapons with the same name.
  • When performing inheritance using a weapon with the same proper noun, the base weapon will inherit the weapon lvl, skill lvl, and uncap status of the source weapon.
    • Weapons that are upgraded through special means in the shop, such as Xeno Weapons, are uniform betwixt versions. The base AX skill weapon does non need to be forged into a "true" weapon to transfer AX skills. The base weapon will inherit the fully forged status forth with the other weapon stats.
  • The base of operations weapon's stats won't be overwritten to a lower value when a weapon with a lower weapon lvl, skill lvl, or uncap status is used for inheritance.
  • Weapons with lower weapon lvl, skill lvl, and uncap status than that of the base of operations weapon cannot be used equally source weapons for inheritance.
  • Weapons must non be favorited when attempting inheritance. The weapon inheriting stats will automatically replace the source weapon in any weapon grid it was equipped in, unless it is stored in a stash.
  • Equally with other upgrade functions, the source weapon tin can exist selected from both Inventory or Stash regardless of where the base weapon is located. It's location will remain the same, while the source weapon will be lost.
  • Inheritance is done through the Upgrade carte du jour, not the Uncap menu. Uncapping weapons with AX skills functions as it normally does for other weapons, i.east. uncapping Tiamat Bolt Omega with an AX skill using a 4★ uncapped, SL 15 Tiamat Bolt Omega will but uncap the new weapon by one level.
